Frequently Asked Questions

CLEANING: YOU MUST ENSURE THAT YOU CLEAN UP AFTER YOUR EVENT AND ​REMOVE ALL TRASH FROM THE PREMISES. WE PROVIDE TRASH CANS AND ​TRASH BAGS. PLEASE ENSURE THAT ALL TRASH HAS BEEN REMOVED FROM ​THE SPACE AND ALL TRASH BAGS ARE TIED AND PLACED IN THE ​DUMPSTER PRIOR TO LEAVING THE SPACE. IF THE VENUE IS NOT LEFT IN ​ITS INITIAL CONDITION, A $100 CLEANING FEE WILL BE ASSESSED TO YOU.

GUESTS: THE MAXIMUM GUEST OCCUPANCY FOR THE SPACE IS 50.

DÉCOR: AT MERAKI EVENTS AND DECOR WE PROVIDE A BLANK CANVAS TO ​DECORATE AS YOU WISH. CANDLES MUST BE LED, (OPEN FLAME ​CANDLES ARE NOT PERMITTED) NAILS, TAPE, TACKS, SCREWS, AND ​STAPLES MAY NOT BE USED ON ANY OF THE WALLS. NO CONFETTI OR GLITTER IS PERMITTED.

RESERVATIONS: A SIGNED CONTRACT AND NON-REFUNDABLE RETAINER MUST BE ​RECEIVED IN FULL TO RESERVE YOUR EVENT DATE AND TIME. WE OFFER A ​7-HOUR ACCESS FOR EVENTS BOOKED AT MERAKI EVENTS AND DECOR . ​THIS INCLUDES 2-HOURS FOR SETUP, 1-HOUR FOR CLEANUP, AND A 4-​HOUR EVENT. IF TIME IS EXCEEDED THERE WILL BE AN ADDITIONAL ​CHARGE AT $50 PER 30 MINUTES. RENTERS WILL ONLY BE ALLOWED IN ​THE SPACE AT THEIR RESERVATION START TIME AND WILL NEED TO BE ​OUT OF THE SPACE BY THE RESERVATION END TIME.

BOOKING POLICIES: THERE IS A $250 NON-REFUNDABLE RETAINER DUE TO SECURE YOUR ​DESIRED DATE, THIS RETAINER WILL BE APPLIED TO YOUR TOTAL ​BALANCE. THE REMAINING BALANCE MUST BE PAID 14 DAYS PRIOR TO ​YOUR EVENT DATE. IN THE CASE WHERE AN EVENT IS IN LESS THAN 30 ​DAYS, HALF OF THE RENTAL RATE IS DUE AT BOOKING WHICH IS NON-​REFUNDABLE. THIS RETAINER WILL BE APPLIED TO THE TOTAL BALANCE, ​THE REMAINING BALANCE IS DUE 14 DAYS PRIOR TO EVENT DATE. PRIOR ​TO GAINING ACCESS TO THE VENUE A $150 DAMAGE DEPOSIT WILL BE ​REQUIRED AND WILL BE RETURNED ONCE THE VENUE IS CLEANED, ​RETURNED TO "PRE-EVENT" CONDITION, AND THE CLIENT HAS VACATED ​BY THE CONTRACTED TIME. ANY DAMAGES MADE TO THE VENUE OR ​ITEMS WITHIN THE VENUE WILL BE SUBJECT TO ADDITIONAL CHARGES ​THAT MUST BE PAID WITHIN 7 DAYS OF NOTIFICATION.

CATERING & ALCOHOL: YOU ARE ALLOWED TO BRING IN YOUR OWN FOOD OR WE CAN RECCOMEND ​A CATERER THROUGH OUR PREFERRED LIST. ANY ALCOHOL SERVED ON THE ​PREMISES MUST BE SERVED BY A LICENSED BARTENDER IN A SOCIAL SETTING ​ONLY. YOU ASSUME ALL LIABILITY FOR SERVING YOUR GUESTS. CHARGING ​FOR ALCOHOL BEING SERVED ON THE PREMISES IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED. ANY FINES OR CITATIONS WILL BE YOUR RESPONSIBILITY IF THIS CLAUSE IS BREACHED. MERAKI EVENTS AND DECOR RECOMMENDS OUR LICENCED ​BARTENDERS FOR YOUR EVENT.

DJ & NOISE: MERAKI EVENTS AND DECOR IS A QUAINT AND INTIMATE VENUE, ​THEREFORE ANY LIVE MUSIC OR DJ MUST BE IN COMPLIANCE OF OUR ​NOISE ORDINANCE. WE OFFER BLUETOOTH SPEAKERS WITHIN OUR ​SPACE TO PLAY YOUR FAVORITE PLAYLIST.
